The original music was composed by French-Swiss jazz trumpeter Erik Truffaz. 🎷

Chiara Malta and Sébastien Laudenbach talk about "Chicken for Linda!"

🏆 Directing duet Chiara Malta and Sébastien Laudenbach marvelled animation lovers with their film "Chicken for Linda!", which won the Cesar Award for the Best animated feature in 2024. 👏👏👏

This animated film, typical of the techniques used by Sébastien Laudenbach ("The Young Girl Witht Hands), tells the story of young Linda and her mother's search for a chicken to make a recipe that will remind Linda of her deceased father.

Beyond the anecdote, which leads mother and daughter to meet a whole bunch of colourful characters, this is a peculiar coming-of-age tale about adolescence and grief.

The two filmmakers recount the genesis of this film – aimed at both children and grown-ups – and its making, which led to its presentation at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, in the Acid Cannes section.
