Founded by internationally acclaimed Indian filmmakers Ketan Mehta [&] Deepa Sahi, Cosmos-Maya pioneered the art and technology of Animation [&] Visual Effects in India since mid-1990s.

Over the last 20 years, Cosmos-Maya has delivered high quality award winning animated content, VFX work and game cinematics for global leaders like BBC, Disney, Google, Electronic Arts among others [&] our work has fetched several awards including BAFTA, IFTA [&] Pulcinella Awards to name a few.

With over 7000 minutes of original animated content created in the last 2 years, (comprising of over 250 half hour episodes) ready/currently on air; and 5 animation series under production, the company is the market leader in original Indian animation content production [&] is focusing on creating animated content for the global markets. Cosmos-Maya is presently working with all the leading kids’ content broadcasters including Nickelodeon, Disney, Cartoon Network [&] Discovery Kids in India.

Ketan Mehta: Chairman [&] Managing Director A graduate in Economics from St. Stephen's College, New Delhi and then from the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, he has over 30 years of experience in the Movie, TV, Commercial and Documentary field. One of India's internationally acclaimed filmmakers and having produced and directed over 10 full-length features like

Mangal Pandey – The Rising, Maya Memsaab, Holi and Mirch Masala as well as TV serials for almost all the premier broadcasters in India, he is a household name in the entertainment industry in India.

Deepa Sahi: Co-founder [&] Director A film star, director, screenplay writer, producer and a media entrepreneur, Deepa has a substantial portfolio of achievements to her name. A graduate of the Delhi School of Economics as well as of the National School of Drama, she brings a wealth of experience and aesthetics to our projects.

Anish Mehta: Chief Executive Officer He is the hands-on, go-to person for all operations at MDS. Apart from looking after day-to-day operations of the company, he oversees the production and the studio functions at MDS with passion and distinction.

Sandeep Kohli: Chief Financial Officer Sandeep heads the financial functions of the company. An IIM - Bangalore and a SRCC graduate, he brings over 20 years of experience in Finance and M[&]A in the Media and Telecom sector. He has held senior Management positions in most of the organisations he has worked for.
